Comic Relief
£156 Was raised from the non-uniform contributions and bake sale last Friday for Comic Relief. The School Council would like me thank everybody for supporting them in their charitable efforts.

St.Anselm’s piano competition
A massive well done to Maci, Charlotte, Darcia and Martha for taking part in this year’s piano competition at St.Anselm’s at the weekend. I was very proud of them all as it’s a very daunting experience to play in front of so many people. Well done!

Netball Tournament
Well done to Class 4 who took part in a (rather wet!) netball tournament at Longstone School yesterday. Pilsley were ‘runners up’ in the small schools tournament which was fantastic! Despite the bad weather, all the children played together really well as a team.

World Book Day
It was wonderful to see the effort that everyone had made to celebrate World Book Day yesterday! The variety of costumes was amazing and seeing the whole school come together to share their favourite stories in the hall was so heartwarming for us all to see. Watching the children telling each other about the books they enjoy reading and recommending titles to their friends was so encouraging too. The older children spent some time reading to the younger children which Class 1 really enjoyed.
