Assessment in our school takes place continuously throughout the school day, in all subject areas.
In addition to this formative assessment, we also undertake regular summative assessment in order to gauge attainment and identify learning needs.
Year 2 children will take the KS1 SATs national assessments in Maths, Reading and Spelling, punctuation and grammar. These will take place anytime throughout May in a very relaxed format to ensure there is no unnecessary pressure placed upon the children.
Year 6 children will take the KS2 SATs national assessments in mid-May. The subjects tested are:
Writing is teacher assessed in both KS1 and KS2, there is no SAT paper for writing.
