  HRH Princess Royal’s visit to Chatsworth

  
  We had an exceptionally lovely morning this morning at Chatsworth in the new education centre which was opened officially by HRH Princess Royal. The children were thrilled to meet her and take part in some of the activities that Chatsworth had laid on for them to do. We excitedly watched the royal helicopter land with the Duke and Duchess which was then followed by showcasing the weaving which we had been doing using natural materials. We felt very privileged to be offered to take part in such a wonderful opportunity as this and I’m sure today’s events will stay with the twelve lucky Y5/6 children who were chosen to go for a very long time.
  

• Cross Country

  Well done to all the children who took part in the cross country running event at Bakewell Juniors yesterday. They all did incredibly well and it was lovely to see them working together so well as a team. We were thrilled to be presented with the event cup for ‘Determination’. Our children showed fabulous team spirit and were on hand for each other throughout each race. Thank you to all those parents/grandparents who were able to come along and lend their support and well done to everyone who took part.
