Forest School
The children in Foundation Stage get the opportunity to participate in outdoor learning in Pilsley woods which is a short walk from our school.
The children get dressed up in warm clothes and we walk to the woods or use our school field for their learning. We usually start with a story or game in our story circle and then the children have a choice of focus activities which link to our half termly topic.
We stop for a snack before walking back to school. The children have really enjoyed the sessions so far which have focused on exploring seasonal changes and identifying trees and animals which live in the woodland.
