Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
On Sunday 5th June, I competed on my pony Lulu, in the National Schools Equestrian Association Dressage competition for Pilsley School. We went to Beaver Hall in Staffordshire. Lulu and I had never done dressage together before and she was a very good girl. She can get really strong and a bit naughty sometimes but she was very calm and relaxed which was a good thing! We got between 6 and 7 out of 10 for each movement and my overall mark was 155 which was 64.58%. That was only 7 marks less than the winners and I was the youngest in the class, competing against girls who were 18 years old riding big horses!
The judge wrote that Lulu was a 'lovely pony with much potential' which was nice to read on my mark sheet. I really enjoyed the experience, riding a dressage test and representing Pilsley school. We are looking forward to competing in more NSEA dressage and jumping classes in the future.
