Friends of Pilsley School will be limited this year on how much they can fundraiser, due to the small number that attend meetings, all of whom work full-time. Every parent or guardian are automatically a Friend of Pilsley School, but it takes attendance to the meetings to make things happen. So please join us and we can raise money for some great educational opportunities for our children.

If you have any ideas we can use for fundraising during the current climate, these would be greatly appreciated.  Please attend one of our monthly meetings and share it with us.

Dates for your diary

Every Monday/Friday  - Drop off crisp packets, any biscuit wrappers, bakery wrappings, ink cartridges, second hand uniform in the drop off bin open the playground. 

Bags2school drop offs at school PICK UP: 3.15pm on Tuesdays. Please bring these round to the toddler playground near the main entrance to the school.

Second hand uniform sale 

Please can you drop off any good quality second hand uniform on a Monday/Friday morning in the collection bin in the playground.

Due to the lock down we are unable to do a second hand uniform sale as planned. The items will have been quarantined for at least 72 hours. If you need any uniform please email pilsleypta@outlook.com with the size, quantity and the item you require. We will send the items home with your child with payment details enclosed.

Save your crisp packets

We are part of a Terracycle schemes to recycle crisp packets, multi-pack snack biscuit packets, biscuit packets and kinder packaging . Please can you save your packets and put them in a carrier bag and tie this up, then bring them into school at drop off time on a Monday morning. The money raised will go straight to school.

Don't forget those in cartridges

Keep saving your used, branded, ink cartridges and toners and help raise money and eco points 

We are working with a company called ‘Empties Please’. They collect and recycle used ink and toner cartridges the environmentally friendly way and will donate the money raised back to us! 

It’s very simple. All you have to do is save your used ink cartridges (original brand cartridges from HP, Cannon, Lexmark, Samsung accepted) or toner cartridges (original Brother, Dell, HP, Canon, Epson) and an email will be out shortly to tell you when you can drop these off at school. ‘Empties Please’ will collect the bin when it’s full and then donate money raised straight back to our school with a certificate to display in our reception area.

Having a clear out?

If you are having a clear out, please save school uniform, clothing, bedding, CD’s, DVD’s and books for future PTA jumble sales, second-hand uniform sales and for other fundraising initiatives like Bags for Schools and Ziffit. From time to time an email will be out to tell you when you can drop these off at school safely.
