  • Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill visit!

    Fri 28 Apr 2017

We were absolutely thrilled to be offered the opportunity to go to Chatsworth to meet Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill on Monday! Jessica is busy promoting a running event at Chatsworth called 'Vitality Move' which is happening in July. We were able to take a group of seven Y5/Y6 children to take part in some promotional events so the children drew 'lots' to choose who would be the lucky few!

We were able to run around the park with her and the children had lots of opportunities to ask her any questions they had.  We appeared on that evening's edition of Look North as well as featuring in the Derbyshire Times. All in all... it was a truly exciting morning!

  • Easter fun!

    Fri 28 Apr 2017

The children have had an eggtastic week at school celebrating Easter! The children all made Easter cards to take home as well as some yummy Easter treats. The PTA ran a very exciting Easter egg hunt on Thursday for the children so thank you to Marie Allinson and the PTA members for their hard work. On Friday afternoon, we shared our Easter learning with parents, grandparents, friends and family at St.Peter's church in Edensor with a special Easter service. Chatsworth Class told us about Palm Sunday, Bolton Abbey did some drama around the Last Supper, Lismore Class told us a beautiful tale based around the crucifixion and we celebrated the Resurrection with Holker Hall class looking at some amazing and inspired artwork they had created.

Thank you to all those who were able to come along and share the afternoon with us.
