Pilsley C of E School

Collective Worship

Our daily act of Collective Worship is led both by both teachers and members of the local church. We encourage pupil involvement too. Through a rounded programme we help to promote spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. We focus each term on a different Christian Value.

We use the Imaginor 'Roots and Fruits' materials and cover the following Christian Values: Generosity, Compassion, Courage, Forgiveness, Friendship, Respect, Thankfulness, Trust, Perseverance, Justice, Service and Truthfulness. We also use the Cornerstones assembly programme to explore other themes and celebrate important figures such as Martin Luther King, Mary Anning and Nelson Mandela.  Each term we hold a service in the local church. Parents are invited to this and also to our Celebration events.
