Pilsley C of E School

SEND

At Pilsley CE Primary school we are committed to providing high quality education for all learners so that they:

· achieve their best

· become confident learners

· leave our school as successful and well-rounded young people

The teacher responsible for SEND is Mrs Emma Bond.

We teach SEND children in our mainstream setting. They are entitled to the same quality of teaching as non-SEND pupils and have equality of access to the curriculum. As a school we are mindful of and comply with expectations of the SEN Code of Practice and Disability Discrimination Act as shown in our SEN and Inclusion Policies. We use different interventions and approaches to address specific areas of need and would look carefully at your child's individual needs when deciding how best to support your child.

As a school we support the Local Offer made by Derbyshire Authority in relation to their commitment to delivery the Children and Families Bill 2014. More information on this can be found at www.derbyshiresendlocaloffer.org

Please read our SEND Information Report for further information.
