Dear Parents and Carers,

It was lovely to see so many of you at our Easter service in church yesterday afternoon. The children did a wonderful job of re-telling the Easter story and we're glad that everyone enjoyed it. Despite the rain, we also had fun hunting for eggs this afternoon. The children have all been given an egg to take home today which have been kindly donated by the PTA.

Easter homework!

This may be somewhat hopeful given the weather this week, but we would like the children to capture and record some 'Signs of Spring' which we'd like to use to create a whole school display early next term. The children can represent their 'Signs of Spring' through photographs, painting or drawing. Please bring these in during the first week back at school after Easter. Many thanks.

In our school library area, we have an 'Extreme reading' zone where we have pictures displayed on the wall of some of the children reading books in unusual places. Some examples include reading with animals/pets, reading on trampolines, out walking etc. If your child would like to send in a picture of their 'extreme reading' experiences, please also send these into school next term and we will add these to the display.

Y2 and Y3 residential visit- Dukes Barn

The Y2 and Y3 children have brought home a letter this afternoon about a planned residential visit to Dukes Barn in Beeley. There are two consent forms included in the paperwork to return to school by Monday 24th April.

On behalf of us all at school, we wish you a happy and peaceful Easter break and look forward to seeing you when school resumes on Monday 17th April.

All good wishes,

Mrs E Bond
