International School Links
Our international links
A global learner is curious about the wider world and begins to develop a sense of global identity and responsibility. By exploring ideas and experiences beyond their own, the children at Pilsley learn to think carefully, appreciate different viewpoints, and begin to understand their place in a much bigger world. They become more open‑minded and ready to learn from others.
Our partnership with The British School Quito in Ecuador has helped nurture this curiosity. Through shared activities and conversations, the children have enjoyed discovering new languages, traditions, and ways of life.
These experiences have brought a real sense of excitement, and our children are delighted to have made new friends across the globe.

Links to our school vision
At Pilsley, our vision is inspired by the Parable of the Mustard Seed, which teaches that even the smallest beginnings can grow into something strong and life‑giving. We believe that small acts of curiosity, kindness, and connection can develop into a deep sense of global responsibility.
This belief shapes our approach to global education. We want children to recognise that their ideas and actions—however small—can make a positive difference. As they learn about other cultures, explore global issues, and build friendships beyond their own community, these early seeds of understanding begin to grow.
Our partnership with The British School Quito in Ecuador helps these seeds flourish. Through shared projects and cultural exchanges, the children at Pilsley broaden their horizons, deepen their empathy, and see themselves as part of a wider global family.
In this way, the Parable of the Mustard Seed becomes a living part of our school ethos, reminding us that global learning begins with small steps that grow into confident, compassionate global citizens with global minds and local hearts.
