Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you for supporting our fundraising efforts for BBC Children in Need today. We have raised a total of £115.50 so far from our non-uniform day and 'Design a Pudsey' competition. There's still time to donate via Parent Pay if you haven't already done so.
New member of staff
Mrs Katrina Campion has recently joined us as an SEN Teaching and Learning assistant following a recruitment process. Mrs Campion is supporting one of our infant children, but you may see her around school on a Monday and Tuesday.
Musical and wellbeing coffee afternoon- Tuesday 17th December
As previously advertised, we are holding a wellbeing coffee afternoon on Tuesday 17th December at 2.30pm. However, in addition to this, we are asking if any of the children who play a musical instrument, would like to play for us as part of the coffee afternoon. With this in mind, we are going to start the coffee afternoon at 2pmrather than 2.30pm so the musicians can play first. Please let us know if your child would like to participate in the musical section of the afternoon. We very much hope you will be able to join us!
Carol singing at Chatsworth farmshop
Mrs Townsend will be taking a group of KS2 children to sing carols at Chatsworth farmshop on the afternoon of Wednesday 11th December. More details to follow.
Trip to Chatsworth to see the Christmas decorations- Thursday 12th December
We have arranged to take the children to Chatsworth on Thursday 12th December to see the Christmas decorations. We aren't able to access the House until 9.45am so we are asking parents and carers to drop off children at the Lodge at Chatsworth House as close to 9am as possible please. We will take the children for a short walk before we are allowed entry into the House so please ensure they are dressed appropriately for the weather as there isn't any indoor space for us to wait if the weather is bad. The children will come back to school on the school bus in time for their lunch. As we will be outdoors for part of the morning, please send your child to school wearing their school jumper/hoody with trousers (no jeans please) and either sturdy trainers, walking boots or wellies. If you could please put your child's school shoes into their bag, they can change their footwear once we're back at school at lunchtime. Class 4 will have their PE session on Thursday afternoon as usual.
PTA meeting- Monday 18th November
Just a further reminder that there is a PTA/FOPS meeting taking place on Monday 18th November at 6.30pm. The meeting is taking place in the school hall. It would be great to see as many people there as possible to help form the new committee and discuss upcoming Christmas events.
Rehearsals for the Christmas service
Please collect your child from Edensor church on Tuesday 3rd December and Wednesday 4th Decemberas we have a couple of Christmas service rehearsals planned. The school bus will collect the bus children from church on both dates so there is no need for bus parents to collect from church. If your child usually goes to 623 club on a Tuesday and Wednesday, please contact 623 directly to arrange your child's collection from church.
School swimming
Please note, the Y3s won't be swimming on Tuesday 3rd December due to the church rehearsal but they will be swimming on Tuesday 10th December, as usual. This will be their final swimming session until swimming starts again in January.
