Pilsley Village Fair - Saturday 15 July 2017
Time: 1pm opening (NOTE 1h earlier than normal)
Venue: Village Green
Traditionally Pilsley School presents a fancy dress float, maypole dancing in the Arena.
In the past, the School has served refreshments in the school in aid of the school, but this has become increasingly difficult to do as there are not enough helpers.
Therefore 2017 will break with tradition, and through discussion, the village fair will serve cream teas from someone's garden, and the school have been offered to have a stall of their own, and to keep the profits. There is no need for the school to be open. The village fair will source porterloos. This will be a lot less demand on the school and in particular Mrs Branson who deserves a life-time achievement award for her tireless efforts on this over the years.
However, the school stall on the green will still need some help on a rota basis. Can you help on the school stall, please?
